Silk Ribbon Embroidery

My family and I recently moved to our new house and while going through some of my boxes I found my silk ribbon stuff and of course I had to sit down immediately and make something.  Super basic stitches with some beads thrown on, makes me think of Spring!

Modern Mini Challenge entry

Well it wasn't a sunny day but I think I was able to get a good shot of my Spinning Stars mini quilt none the less.  This is a completly hand cut, hand pieced and hand quilted. 
Though I adore my Bernina my first love is hand work.  All you need are scissors, pins, needles and thread and you can piece anywhere. 
I went into my scrap bag and picked out some of my favorites for this challenge which is right up my alley because anything "mini" is perfection for this type of hand work!

My Mini Quilt, Spinning Stars, almost finished!

I love to make small quilts so I'm entering this quilt into Ellison Lane Quilts, Modern Mini Challenge.  Completely hand-pieced, hand quilted and I even hand sewed the binding on.  Here are some pics of it in progress and hopefully tomorrow will be a sunny day and I will post pics of it finished!
